Job summary

Caterpillar Lafayette Engine Center is seeking a Distribution Manager for first shift to oversee a complex production line, coordinate schedules, and ensure safety and quality standards in an on-site role in Lafayette, IN.

You will create production reports, maintain SOPs, supervise line workers, train hires, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Experience leading teams preferred.
• Distribution/production leadership experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create reports on production processes, performance, and inventory; share insights with managers.
• Prepare, maintain, and update operating procedures, safety and quality documentation.
• Supervise daily production line workers and coordinate between teams; monitor safety and performance.
• Train new hires; manage scheduling, conflicts, and internal communications for continuous improvement.
