Job summary

Caterpillar Lafayette Engine Center is seeking a Manager Production for the 3rd shift to oversee a complex production line, prepare schedules, resolve issues, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. You will supervise line workers, coordinate between teams and train new hires to support a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes reporting, documentation, risk assessment, and performance management, with a focus on safe, efficient, and compliant operations

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for recognizing, anticipating and resolving problems; apply to diverse situations.
• Ability to describe problems, analyze risks and communicate resolutions.
• Describes data gathering methodologies and their purposes.

Responsibilities

• Create reports and records of production processes, issues, performance and inventory; share with managers and suggest safety, productivity and quality improvements.
• Maintain and update operating procedures and safety/quality documentation; ensure processes meet safety and quality standards.
• Supervise daily activities of production line workers; assign tasks and coordinate between teams; ensure safety and performance.
