Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for a Manager, Distribution (1st Shift) at the Aftermarket Parts Distribution Center in Clayton, OH. You will lead a front-line team of 20-25 hourly personnel, guiding daily operations at a key node in the North American Parts Distribution Network.

The role emphasizes coaching, safety, and process improvement to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency. Relocation is not offered; travel is modest, and U.S. work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of decision-making processes and tools; ability to analyze and reach informed judgments.
• Understanding of effective communication concepts and applications in workplace settings.
• Knowledge of performance management techniques and tools for individuals, teams, and organizations.
• Ability to plan and organize tasks and resources in a structured, methodical way.
• Familiarity with problem-solving approaches and techniques to address operational issues.

Responsabilités

• Lead and motivate distribution center teams through coaching, training, and reinforcement.
• Drive operational excellence by resolving issues, improving processes, and meeting standards for productivity, quality, and service.
• Ensure safety and compliance by conducting daily safety meetings and mentoring staff.
• Oversee inventory and equipment management including receiving, storage, and maintenance.
• Manage payroll, attendance, and related administrative tasks to improve service levels and control costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Caterpillar management.
