Job summary

Buchanan Technologies seeks a Desktop Technician to provide onsite IT support in the Dallas area. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, assist users across departments, and maintain inventory of IT assets.

The role requires 1-2 years in IT support or help desk, strong customer service, and familiarity with Windows/MacOS, Microsoft 365, and ITSM tools. Local travel may be needed, with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in IT Support or Service Desk.
• Experience with ITSM tools and remote desktop support.
• Strong understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and common SaaS apps.
• Basic Active Directory administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly support to users by phone, email, chat, or in person.
• Log, categorize, prioritize, and resolve service requests in ITSM system.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues on Windows and macOS.
• Onboard/offboard users in Active Directory and related systems.
• Document solutions and best practices for the internal knowledge base.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex issues.
