Job summary

Aquent LLC is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to be the first point of contact for employees needing technical assistance in the Minneapolis metro area. You will handle hardware setup, software deployment, and remote troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Travel within the Minneapolis metro area daily is expected, with mileage reimbursed; reliable transport is required. This role offers onsite collaboration with IT and other teams to ensure reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
5–7 years of desktop/IT support experience.
Experience in Windows-based environments.
Knowledge of VPN, TCP/IP, and network switches.
Experience with IT helpdesk systems such as ServiceNow.
Strong troubleshooting and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

Serve as first point of contact for technical issues via phone, email, or in person.
Perform remote troubleshooting to resolve LAN/WAN and related problems.
Install, configure, and update Windows 10, Microsoft 365, and essential apps.
Maintain IT systems hardware setup and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, cameras).
Log incidents and resolutions in helpdesk systems and track inventory.
Coordinate with IT staff for escalation and resolution and provide user training when needed.
