Job summary

Inherent Technologies is seeking a Desktop Support specialist to provide second-line and onsite technical assistance in Oklahoma City. The role covers hardware repairs, OS imaging, and daily incident management for employees.

You will coordinate with vendors, support AV/network elements, and participate in a 1-year assignment with initial training in Midland, TX, with travel expenses reimbursed. Strong communication and adherence to IT policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience providing second-line desktop support and incident management.
• Hardware repair, OS deployment/imaging and software break/fix.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors and IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line investigation and diagnosis after Service Desk
• Resolve and close incidents and service requests as per procedures and allocated timelines
• Perform hardware repair and upgrades
• Escalate unresolved incidents within agreed timescales
• Log incident and service request details per help desk procedures
• Communicate with customer regarding incident progress
• Ensure tickets are always updated until issues are resolved
• Conduct customer satisfaction callbacks and surveys
• Tech support for configuring field connectivity with VSAT and Teleport hardware maintenance
