Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our team in Belle Mead, New Jersey. The role focuses on delivering managed client services onsite at the client's facility, including IMAC, break-fix, and desk-side support with a strong emphasis on customer service.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of desktop support experience, hands-on hardware skills, and familiarity with Windows, Google Workspace, ChromeOS, and Citrix. Travel to additional locations may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of desktop support experience.
• Hands-on experience with workstation hardware, assembly, troubleshooting and components replacement.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate-to-complicated configuration and repair of desktop/notebook equipment and peripherals.
• Provide on-site customer service to end users regarding computing functionality, diagnostics, and consultations in person, phone, email or video.
• Advise customers on preventive maintenance and configurations impacting product performance.
• Diagnose and resolve product performance problems using advanced tools and knowledge; identify issues related to firewall, proxy, or anti-virus software.
• Perform break-fix hardware and software repairs on desktops/notebooks, printers and peripherals.
• IMAC tasks: installation and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals.
• Ticket and workload management using customer ticketing system.
• Physically lift and move hardware.
