Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Deskside Support Installation Technician for an onsite, multi-site deployment in the Salt Lake City area. The contract runs from the end of July through November, with travel between client locations and mileage reimbursement.

The role requires install experience, strong customer service, and reliable transportation. Responsibilities include installing hardware, troubleshooting during installations, educating users, and preparing legacy devices for pickup.

Qualifications

IT support, hardware installation, or technical training preferred but not required.
Strong trainability with the ability to quickly learn and work within new systems and processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service mindset.
Comfortable traveling locally to install sites.
Must have reliable personal transportation.
Commitment to seeing the project through its full duration.

Responsibilities

Install and integrate laptops, printers, scanners, workstations, routers, and switches.
Perform basic troubleshooting and problem resolution during installations.
Educate end users on new systems and equipment.
Clean up materials and prepare legacy devices for pickup and shipment.
Provide professional, customer-focused support at all locations.
Training will be provided.
