Qualifications

• Two years of technical accounting, bookkeeping, medical billing, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and explain clinic financial policies and procedures.
• Communicate SDM financial policies to patients, students, staff and resolve issues.
• Process payments (cash, checks, credit card) from patients and insurers.
• Maintain electronic health record system for accurate billing and reporting.
• Reconcile cash, checks and cards against reports and systems.
• Prepare daily clinical deposits and related documentation.
• Ensure proper paperwork retained and sent to Bursar's Office.
• Verify Medicaid eligibility and communicate results.
