Job summary

Providence is seeking a Patient Admissions Coordinator for the day, on-site role at Covenant Children’s Hospital in Lubbock, TX. You will guide patients through registration and arrival, verify demographics and insurance, and handle financial clearance for both scheduled and unscheduled visits.

You’ll work under the PAS supervisor and join a team focused on compliant, patient-centered service with comprehensive benefits and a stable schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• Three (3) years experience within Patient Access of Business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• Three (3) years utilization of medical terminology in job setting.
• Knowledge in medical billing codes.
• One (1) year knowledge of Epic Applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Collect accurate demographic information and insurance information; collect patient liability at time of service.
• Complete financial clearance functions on assigned accounts.
• Greet and serve patients professionally to promote positive encounters.
• Adhere to regulations and compliance guidelines; document timely and accurately.
