Job summary

Providence is seeking a Patient Admissions Coordinator for an on-site, evening, full-time role in Texas. Under supervision, you will assist patients with on-site registration and arrival, collect demographics and insurance details, and complete financial clearance for scheduled and unscheduled visits.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• Minimum 3 years experience in Patient Access or business office setting.
• Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
• 3 years utilization of medical terminology in job setting.
• Knowledge of medical billing codes.
• 1 year knowledge of Epic Applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during on-site registration and arrival for scheduled and unscheduled visits.
• Collect accurate demographic and insurance information and patient liability at the time of service; assist with financial clearance.
• Greet patients professionally, ensuring a positive, respectful encounter while adhering to regulatory guidelines.
• Document information timely and accurately in accordance with policies.
