Job summary

IMR Soft LLC is seeking a Datacenter Field Operations Technician to support a hyperscaler at a major data-center campus in New Albany, Ohio. You will troubleshoot and repair physical-layer network issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with provisioning, facility, and supply-chain teams on a 24/7 on-site schedule.

The role requires hands-on fiber optic and copper cabling, rack deployment, hardware handling, and testing with OTDR and power meters.

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in data center cabling, network hardware installation, or telecommunications.
Hands-on experience with fiber optic installation and testing in enterprise/hyperscale environments.
Experience with large-scale rack deployment projects (50+ racks) and data center environments.

Responsibilities

Rack activity services: rack turn-up, cabling, energization, and redeployment.
Circuit QA/QC & testing: OTDR, power meter, VFL, PON testing and documentation.
Break/fix & repair: diagnose and repair copper and fiber networks, replace hardware.
Operations & maintenance: ISPM, fiber cleaning, cable dressing, and power QA support.
Safety & compliance: follow LOTO, PPE rules, EHS standards, maintain ESd compliance.
Cross-functional coordination: work with provisioning, facility operations, and supply-chain teams.
