Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is hiring a Data Center Hardware Engineer for an onsite role in New Albany, OH. The position focuses on maintaining data center systems, wiring and racks, and ensuring uptime.

The ideal candidate has 1–3+ years in data center environments, understanding of cabling standards, and strong collaboration skills to work with vendors and internal teams. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CIS/Network/Telecommunications or related field is required.
• 1-3+ years' experience deploying and maintaining complex data center environments.
• Knowledge of ANSI/TIA, IEEE, NEC, and ISO standards relating to data centers and structured cabling.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal team members and external vendors.
• Must be a team player and self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Identify and respond to onsite risks and high-priority issues, troubleshoot incidents, and manage incident queues.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, Service Owner and SMEs to validate requirements and execute data center user stories.
• Contribute to OSI Layer 1 infrastructure design, automation via CI/CD pipelines, and capacity planning.
• Assess data center components and how changes affect software/hardware functionality in on-prem infrastructure.
• Help document processes and improve team documentation.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, lead demos, and mentor new engineers.
