Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to maintain data center electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems.

The role focuses on operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and maximizing customer uptime while coordinating with contractors and internal teams. You will work on chilled water systems, HVAC units, CRAC/CRAH, UPS distribution, and fire protection systems, ensuring rapid problem resolution and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience and a minimum of 2 years in mechanical/electrical position within critical facilities.
• CPR/First Aid and NFPA70E Certification during employment.
• OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops approaches to minimize operational costs and improve efficiency.
• Maintain and monitor mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems.
• Inspect, install, align, and troubleshoot electrical/electronic components.
• Operate and monitor data center facilities systems; respond to abnormal conditions.
• Coordinate with contractors and CF Ops team for maintenance and upgrades.
• Ensure preventive and predictive maintenance programs are completed on schedule.
• Provide input to engineering on standards and processes.
