Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician to ensure operational integrity of electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems in a high-demand data center environment.

You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain critical facilities equipment while coordinating with contractors and internal teams. The role emphasizes cost-effective operation, after-hours readiness, and adherence to NFPA/NEC standards.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of mechanical, electrical and fire life safety systems in data centers.
• Familiarity with NEC, NFPA standards and building codes related to fire life safety.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and working with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Develops cost-saving approaches and improves efficiency in operations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical systems (chilled water, HVAC, humidification).
• Maintain electrical distribution from main switchgear through UPS to customer load.
• Inspect, install and service electrical/electronic components.
• Operate and monitor data center facilities systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and CF Ops Lead Technician on maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal staff.
