Job summary

NTT Global Data Centers is hiring a Data Center Technician to ensure reliable operations of mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety systems within our data center facilities. You will monitor, inspect, and repair critical infrastructure, work with contractors, and uphold safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with chilled water systems, large HVAC equipment, UPS, generators, and BMS/PLC controls, with potential night/weekend shifts and a focus on minimizing

Qualifications

• Relevant high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant advanced qualification or equivalent work related experience required.
• CPR/First Aid and NFPA70E Certified (can be gained during course of employment).
• Possession of OSHA approved forklift certification or ability to obtain one after hire required.
• Relevant demonstrated experience in a similar role gained within a data centre facilities environment.
• Relevant demonstrated experience in a mechanical/electrical position within critical facilities (data centre preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develops creative approaches to keep operational costs to a minimum and improves efficiency.
• Mechanical responsibilities include chillers, HVAC systems, and humidification.
• Electrical responsibilities cover power distribution from main switchgear through UPS to customer load.
• Fire Life Safety responsibilities include sprinkler systems and detection devices.
• Inspects parts for defects and reads blueprints or diagrams to determine processes.
• Coordinates with contractors for maintenance, upgrades, and QA reviews.
• Maintains rigorous preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
