Job summary

US Signal is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our team at the Waukee, IA data center. This onsite role offers shift options and requires on-call and after-hours support as needed.

Responsibilities include facility monitoring, preventive maintenance, rack operations, cabling, vendor coordination, and access management. A related associate degree or 2+ years of telecom experience is expected, with CJIS certification possible after onboarding.

Qualifications

Experience or willingness to learn electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire systems, and security equipment including building codes.
Basic IT networking knowledge and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project.
Ability to manage multiple projects, contractors, and vendors to maintain data center operations.

Responsibilities

Conduct daily facility monitoring of electrical, mechanical, and fire safety systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues within SLAs.
Install and decommission racks, provide remote hands support, and assist customers.
