US Signal in Fitchburg, WI is hiring a Data Center Technician for onsite work supporting electrical, mechanical, fire safety, and rack operations. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, and remote hands support while coordinating with vendors and customers.

The role requires an Associate degree or 2+ years in telecom infrastructure, a CJIS certification within the introductory period, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts or 8-hour flex shifts, with

Qualifications

• Facility Systems Knowledge: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire systems, and security equipment.
• Basic IT networking knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project).
• Project & Vendor Management: manage multiple projects, contractors, and vendors to maintain high standards in data center operations.
• CJIS certification process within introductory period and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Facility Monitoring: daily rounds and monitoring of electrical, mechanical, and fire safety systems.
• Maintenance & Incident Response: preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident response within SLAs.
• Hardware & Rack Operations: install/decommission racks, remote hands support, and customer support.
• Cabling & Infrastructure: install/test fiber and copper cabling; manage rack and cable layouts.
