US Signal Company, L.L.C. in Fitchburg, WI is hiring a Data Center Technician for an onsite role with shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., or an 8-hour flex shift to cover nights on variable days. The position requires on-call and after-hours support to ensure facility reliability.

The role emphasizes facility monitoring, preventive maintenance, rack operations, cabling, and vendor coordination, with on-site responsibilities and strict adherence to SLAs.

Qualifications

• Experience with building systems and codes (electrical, HVAC, fire safety)
• Basic IT networking knowledge and MS Office proficiency
• Ability to manage multiple projects and vendors to maintain high standards in data center operations

Responsibilities

• Facility Monitoring: conduct daily rounds and monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire safety systems.
• Maintenance & incident response: preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and respond to facility and rack events within SLAs.
• Hardware & rack operations: install/decommission racks, provide remote hands support, and customer support.
• Cabling & infrastructure: install/test/maintain copper and fiber cabling; follow rack and stack procedures with airflow and cable management.
• Work orders & vendor oversight: manage work orders via Salesforce, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and support customer service requests.
• Access management: oversee physical access control systems and badge issuance for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Emergency procedures: follow escalation protocols and incident response plans to ensure uptime and safety.
