Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join the onsite Construction Management team, coordinating with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to deliver data centers.

You will be on the construction sites in the Northwest Region of LA, working with construction managers daily to support fast, high-quality delivery while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years in a data center or other critical environment.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional communication between regional GCs, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Developing and maintaining tracking systems for design changes, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards for leadership review.
• Evaluating Method of Procedure submissions for thoroughness, necessity, and risk.
• Managing vendor onboarding, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Maintaining current project management software with milestone updates and document control.
• Coordinating and monitoring owner-furnished material deliveries to sites.
• Establishing and managing a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data.
• Overseeing QA programs including safety protocols and quality control checklists.
