Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join the onsite Construction Management team in Sidney, OH. You will coordinate with regional contractors, manage RFIs and change orders, and ensure timely, safe delivery of data center construction.

You will work with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security and Commissioning to build energy-efficient data centers and maintain meticulous documentation across all project stages.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years of data center or critical environment experience.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations.
• 5+ years of MS Office experience (Outlook/Word/Excel).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional communication between regional general contractors, stakeholders and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems for design changes, RFIs and change orders.
• Evaluate Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness and risk.
• Manage vendor onboarding, security credentialing and orientation.
• Maintain project management software with milestone updates and records.
• Coordinate owner-furnished material deliveries to sites.
• Establish a centralized repository for contractor data.
• Oversee QA programs with checklists for safety and quality control.
