Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join the on-site Construction Management team. You will work with Operations, Networking, Controls, Security, and Commissioning to build data centers that support customers, coordinating RFIs, change orders, and documentation daily.

You will be on construction sites, communicating with managers and vendors, ensuring fast, high-quality delivery while maintaining safety and QA standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years in a data center or other critical environment.
• 5+ years in data center engineering or operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Leading cross-functional communication and coordination between regional general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
• Developing and maintaining tracking systems for design modifications, RFIs, and change orders with dashboards.
• Evaluating Method of Procedure (MOP) submissions for thoroughness and risk.
• Managing vendor onboarding processes, including security credentialing and orientation programs.
• Maintaining current project management software with milestone updates and document control.
• Coordinating and monitoring owner-furnished material deliveries for timely arrival.
• Establishing and managing a centralized repository for contractor-supplied construction data.
• Overseeing QA programs with checklists, safety protocols, and quality control.
