Lambda’s Plano, TX data center seeks a senior Data Center Technician Lead to manage and scale our critical infrastructure. You will ensure uptime, reliability, and security across servers, storage, and network gear, while mentoring a growing team and coordinating with cross-functional groups.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with critical infrastructure systems in data centers.
• Basic Linux administration knowledge.
• Experience setting up networking appliances across multiple data center locations.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to mentor teammates and learn.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of data center technicians.
• Maintain high availability, reliability, and security in the data center environment.
• Ensure new server, storage and network infrastructure is properly racked, labeled, cabled, and configured.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced systems.
• Document data center layout and topology in DCIM software.
• Work with supply chain & manufacturing teams to deploy systems and plan large-scale deployments.
• Assess data center requirements based on growth and tech trends.
• Manage a parts depot inventory and track equipment through lifecycle stages.
• Create installation standards and documentation for cabling to drive consistency.
• Oversee deployments and day-to-day data center operations.
• Maintain uptime and meet customer SLAs.
• Participate in technical discussions on data center integration and deployment strategies.
• Understand power/cooling and cabling requirements to support high-performance infra.
• Collaborate with Hardware Eng, Software Eng, Supply Chain, Customer Experience and Sales.
