Job summary

Lambda Inc. is seeking a data center operations lead to manage a team of technicians across our Plano data center. You will ensure high availability, security, and proper deployment of servers, storage, and networking gear.

You will document configurations in DCIM and collaborate with Hardware, Software, Supply Chain, and Sales to align data center solutions with business goals. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in critical infrastructure, basic Linux admin, and experience with InfiniBand/Ethernet

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with critical infrastructure systems in data centers.
• Basic Linux administration skills.
• Experience setting up networking appliances across multiple data center locations.
• Attention to detail with ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn and mentor others.
• Experience with ISO/SOC compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of data center technicians.
• Maintain high availability, reliability, and security in the data center environment.
• Rack, label, cable, and configure new server, storage, and network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in advanced systems.
• Document data center layout and network topology in DCIM software.
• Coordinate with supply chain, manufacturing, and other teams for large deployments.
• Assess data center requirements based on growth and technology trends.
• Manage a parts depot inventory and deployment process across centers.
• Create installation standards and documentation for consistency.
• Oversee deployments, uptime, and SLAs; participate in technical discussions.
• Understand power/cooling and cabling needs for high-performance infra.
