Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Data Center Operations Lead to work 100% onsite in Childress, TX, supporting daily data center activities and collaborating with a client team.

The role requires strong technical skills with Dell PowerEdge hardware, iDRAC, and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), plus experience in large server environments and BIOS lifecycle management. Background checks and 50 hours of training are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with PowerEdge hardware environments.
• Hands-on experience with server management and BIOS lifecycle tasks.
• Ability to operate in a strict onsite data center setting.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day data center activities on site.
• Walk the data center to identify issues and alert the customer.
• Escort dispatched field engineers when needed.
• Manage parts through LOIS system with on-site training.
• Document environment details: serials, elevations, runbooks.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with the customer (power/cooling).
• Perform BIOS lifecycle tasks and user/patch updates.
• Coordinate with technical support for break/fix scheduling.
• Update software versions as directed by the customer.
