Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer to oversee on-site technical operations in Boardman, OR. You will manage shift technicians and vendors, ensuring safe and reliable operation of critical infrastructure, including switchgear, generators, UPS, chillers, and monitoring systems.

The role emphasizes leadership, coordination with IT leaders, and driving efficiency through performance benchmarks and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Technical Degree required or equivalent military/trade schooling.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience; some management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, organization, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• On-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to procedures.
• Establish performance benchmarks, analyze operations, and report on facility maintenance and safety.
• Coordinate projects with IT leaders to optimize capacity, safety, reliability, and efficiency.
• Operate routine and emergency services for switchgear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, CRAC, and building monitoring systems.
• Assist in design/build-out of new facilities and projects to improve efficiency.
• Manage asset and inventory records and support recruiting efforts.
