Job summary

IREN is seeking a Lead Data Center Technician in Childress, TX to oversee HPC data center operations and a shift team. You will ensure uptime, safety, and efficient performance of high‑density computing environments, coordinating with vendors and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in data center IT operations, familiarity with liquid cooling, fiber optics, and a track record of leadership in a high‑uptime setting. On-site role with 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of data center IT operations experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred but not required.
• Direct-to-chip liquid cooling systems experience a huge plus.
• Experience leading data center or technical operations teams in high‑uptime environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily HPC data center operations and customer support queue.
• Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of data center technicians.
• Escalate technical issues and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution.
• Enforce safety protocols and perform audits and incident investigations.
• Maintain IT hardware installation, fiber testing, and performance monitoring.
