Job summary

Riot Platforms Inc is seeking an entry-level Electrical Technician to join our Calvert City, KY facility. You will support acceptance, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of low and medium voltage power systems in a fast-paced data center environment.

Under supervision of senior technicians, you will gain NICET Level III certification through company training, with a strong emphasis on safety, accurate data collection, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; tech trade school or Associate’s degree preferred.
• 0–2 years in electrical testing, maintenance, or related field; basic AC/DC theory.
• Read one-line diagrams and schematics; follow test procedures; document results.
• Know NFPA 70E, LOTO, safe grounding; complete safety trainings.
• Proficiency with MS Office/Google Workspace; able to learn Power DB, RTS, AVTS.
• Willing to pursue NICET Electrical Power Testing certification (Level I/II) and complete training.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet site access/badging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate electrical test equipment; maintain and calibrate tools.
• Test and maintain low and medium voltage equipment following standards and procedures.
• Test switchgear, breakers, protection/control systems, transformers, cables, and grounding.
• Read electrical drawings and schematics to plan testing and configurations.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO, pre-job planning, and permits.
• Inspect equipment, perform minor repairs, maintain clean work areas.
• Support commissioning activities and document results using required software.
• Coordinate with teams/contractors/customers to schedule work and provide updates.
