Job summary

TEKsystems seeks experienced Data Center Technicians for an onsite Sparks, NV contract role. You will diagnose and repair enterprise server hardware, perform Level 2 break/fix, and support large-scale hardware deployments in a high-availability environment.

You’ll rack, stack, cable, and configure servers, IPs, and access credentials while collaborating with engineering and operations teams to maintain uptime and reliability. On-site work in Sparks, NV is required.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting enterprise server hardware.
• Proven Level 2 break/fix experience in data centers or infrastructure environments.
• Experience diagnosing hardware issues independently and identifying root causes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve server hardware issues independently.
• Perform true Level 2 break/fix support and root cause analysis.
• Replace and install components including power supplies, memory, SSDs, CPUs, GPUs, and other critical hardware.
• Execute firmware updates and server hardware upgrades.
• Rack, stack, cable, and deploy servers and networking equipment.
• Support large-scale hardware installations and expansion projects.
• Configure server settings, IP addresses, and access credentials.
• Install and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling infrastructure.
• Support day-to-day operations within a high-availability environment.
