Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Project Engineer to join our on-site construction management team in New Florence, MO. You will coordinate with general contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure rapid, high-quality data center construction and hand-off.

You will manage RFIs, change orders, MOP reviews, and schedule updates while maintaining documentation across multiple systems. Strong vendor management and engineering experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management in data center environments.
• 4+ years of data center or critical environment experience.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office experience (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Vendor management experience in data centers.
• Experience in a data center or critical environment.
• Experience in data center engineering or operations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate communication across data center region contractors and internal teams.
• Develop and maintain a tracking system for design changes, RFIs, change orders and dashboards.
• Review and request MOPs for detail, necessity and risk.
• On-board new vendors for badging and orientation.
• Update project management software with milestones, correspondence and documents.
• Monitor delivery of owner furnished materials to site.
• Compile and store construction data from vendors.
• Manage checklists including safety and quality checks.
