Job summary

FirstOption Workforce Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Customer Service Representative for a manufacturing operation in San Antonio. The role involves processing orders, maintaining customer files, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth production and billing.

Excellent communication and ERP experience are essential. Location is Schertz, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a pay rate of $23 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail when processing orders and maintaining customer information.
• Computer data-entry skills and ability to learn ERP systems.
• Basic math skills for rates, ratios, percentages and costs.
• Ability to read and interpret sales reports, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction and company policies.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Corrugated box industry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of products, production processes, and ISO/QS quality standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer orders from customers and sales representatives.
• Build product specifications in ERP systems.
• Place timely orders for materials and supplies for production.
• Process billing accurately and efficiently.
• Respond to customer questions and complaints, coordinating with internal departments.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive customer files and records.
• Process new items and purchase orders.
• Coordinate accounting credits.
• Record and distribute customer order changes.
• Confirm orders with customers.
• Support sales personnel and help identify additional sales opportunities.
• Track warehouse inventory to ensure product availability and control inventory levels.
• Analyze monthly customer usage and determine restocking needs.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
