Job summary

ThompsonGas in Duluth, MN is hiring a Customer Service Representative to join our growing propane team. This onsite role handles inbound/outbound calls, supports customer retention, and processes data entry, payments and order status.

Ideal candidates have a degree or equivalent experience and at least 3 years in customer service or a call center, with strong communication and upselling ability. OT and weekend shifts may be required during busy periods.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience; call center preferred.
• Sales experience strongly preferred; upsell in a competitive environment a must.
• Experience with CARGAS and MPX systems is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible to work OT and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound sales and customer support calls.
• Enter and update customer account information in CARGAS/MPX systems.
• Process billing payments for walk-in customers.
• Provide timely and accurate information on order status.
• Other duties as assigned.
