Job summary

Rocky Mountain Laboratories is seeking an experienced Core Lab Manager to run daily operations across chemistry, hematology, immunology and coagulation in Tempe, AZ. You will lead and train the core lab team, own workflows, and ensure analyzers stay up and running with rigorous QC/QA and inspection readiness.

The ideal candidate has CLIA General and Technical Supervisor qualifications, hands-on Abbott Alinity ci or Architect ci experience, and proficiency with manual differential, smear review

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or related field; master’s/doctorate may reduce experience
• MLS(ASCP), MLS(ASCPi), MT(ASCP), MLT(ASCP) or equivalent credentials
• 4+ years high-complexity testing in chemistry and hematology with 3+ years supervising a core lab
• CLIA General Supervisor and Technical Supervisor qualifications for high-complexity testing
• Hands-on experience with Abbott Alinity ci or Architect ci chemistry/immunoassay systems
• Experience with manual differential, peripheral smear review and urinalysis microscopy
• Ability to work onsite in Tempe Tue-Sat 9:00 AM–5:00 PM and lead lab workflows

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations in clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology and coagulation
• Serve as CLIA General Supervisor and Technical Supervisor as needed
• Perform and train staff on manual differential, smear review and urinalysis microscopy
• Maintain and troubleshoot analyzers including Abbott Alinity ci, Sysmex XN-530, Siemens CA-660 and Clinitek Advantus
• Oversee LIS interfacing and data entry for non-interfaced instruments
• Lead lab ramp-up, verifications and workflow setup for daily operation
• Review QC/QA and proficiency testing results; lead trend reviews and corrective actions
• Communicate critical results to providers and answer questions
• Write and edit SOPs to meet CLIA and CAP standards
• Lead inspection readiness and corrective action planning
