Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers is seeking an experienced Area Lab Manager to oversee laboratory services across 12 locations with five direct reports. This leadership role emphasizes staff development, quality management, and budget oversight to ensure premier cancer care.

You will supervise operational labs, ensure compliance with CLIA and COLA standards, and drive performance improvements through education and proactive policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science field is required.
• ASCP or equivalent certification is required.
• Minimum seven years experience in laboratory testing, including at least five years in a supervisory capacity.
• Current state licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the clinical operations of all labs in assigned areas, including Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Proficiency Testing.
• Reviews all QC/QA/PT for labs and ensures compliance with CLIA standards.
• Supervises lab staff and sets performance objectives and goals annually.
• Establishes procedures for QA/QC and PT reviews, evaluates methods, and writes policies.
• Assists in budget development and analyzes vendor bids for equipment.
