Job summary

TRAC Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Controller just north of Cincinnati, Ohio, to lead a finance transformation and scale a growing manufacturing business. You will partner with executive leadership to design controls, implement NetSuite, and move the organization from cash to accrual accounting.

The role requires 8+ years in accounting with at least 3 in leadership, ERP implementation experience (NetSuite preferred), GAAP expertise, and strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in leadership.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or product-based industries.
• Proven success leading accounting transformation initiatives (cash to accrual).
• ERP implementation or major systems conversion experience; NetSuite desirable.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost/inventory/revenue recognition and controls.
• Advanced Excel, financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership and project management capabilities.
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations with GAAP-compliant reporting and close processes.
• Drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and improve reporting quality.
• Deliver financial analysis, metrics, and insights for executive decision-making.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity with reconciliations and internal controls.
• Oversee manufacturing costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Lead NetSuite ERP migration and redesign chart of accounts and reporting.
• Improve working capital and cash flow forecasting; partner with leadership.
• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team; align with business goals.
