Job summary

Actalent in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure on-time, safe project delivery. You will serve as the primary on-site contact and report progress to the Project Manager and owner.

The role emphasizes on-site problem solving, schedule maintenance, quality and safety compliance, and collaboration with two to three other superintendents and PMs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of superintendent experience.
• Experience in commercial or educational projects.
• Demonstrated high character.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee construction projects in the field.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Serve as the primary point of contact on the jobsite.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage daily activities.
• Communicate progress to the Project Manager and owner.
• Problem-solve on-site to maintain schedules and oversee quality and safety.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward.
