Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Construction Superintendent in Minneapolis, MN to lead field operations on complex commercial projects from groundbreaking through closeout. You will oversee daily onsite activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to plan specifications and building codes.

The role emphasizes strong client relationships, collaboration with project teams, and upholding high standards of craftsmanship and integrity on every jobsite.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of superintendent or field leadership experience on commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, specs, and submittals.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate field teams safely and efficiently.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily onsite construction activities and ensure safety, schedule, and quality.
• Coordinate subcontractors and field personnel to maintain project timelines.
• Maintain project documentation including daily reports and safety logs.
• Conduct site inspections for compliance with documents and codes.
• Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, procurement, and issue resolution.
• Lead onsite safety initiatives and enforce OSHA standards.
• Communicate with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to maintain alignment.
• Manage closeout activities, including punch lists and turnover documents.
• Provide day‑to‑day leadership to field teams and foster a professional jobsite culture.
• Support QA/QC efforts for ground‑up and tenant improvement projects.
