Job summary

Fishbeck has an immediate full-time opening for a Construction Project Superintendent in Grand Rapids, MI. The role supports all facets of assigned projects, coordinating onsite activities and maintaining schedules to ensure timely, on-budget completion with quality results.

You will collaborate with the Project Manager, communicate with subcontractors and inspectors, document progress, and help maintain safe operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction superintendent or assistant superintendent on commercial projects.
• Knowledge of construction practices, procedures, and techniques, and applicable building codes.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, field inspectors, project managers, and construction crews.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel); experience with Microsoft Project preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with project teams and clients.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Safety certifications such as OSHA, First Aid, and CPR training are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of assigned construction projects to help ensure on-time completion within budget and quality standards.
• Coordinate and oversee onsite construction activities, maintain project schedules, and support communication between subcontractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
• Document project progress, assist with site coordination, and help maintain safe and efficient project operations.
• Gain experience across a variety of construction projects while working in a collaborative project team environment.
