Hooper-Corporation is seeking a Safety Specialist to oversee construction safety programs at client sites. The role emphasizes developing site-specific safety plans, auditing performance, and ensuring adherence to Hooper and client safety requirements.

Ideal candidates have a background in occupational health or safety with 3–5 years of field leadership. The position involves regular safety walks, incident investigations, and coordination with client safety teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety, or related discipline preferred.
• 3–5 years of full-time health & safety support and leadership on projects.
• 5–10 years of construction safety leadership may substitute for a degree.
• OSHA knowledge: crane, derrick, hoist safety; construction standards.
• Certifications such as CSP/CHST/CSMC preferred; OSHA 10/30 training noted.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety performance to ensure compliance with Hooper and client standards.
• Develop and implement site-specific Safety Plans; audit safety performance.
• Conduct site safety walks, incident investigations, and safety trainings.
• Stop-work authority for imminent safety hazards; coordinate with client safety reps.
• Maintain training records, PPE management, and safety communications.
