Job summary

Microsoft is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for an 18-month, on-site engagement in Charlotte, NC. This contract role is managed through Allegis Global Solutions, with AGS as the employer.

The role focuses on enforcing health and safety across active construction sites, coordinating between Lease Provider and General Contractor, and actively monitoring safety performance indicators. Requires 5+ years in safety leadership and OSHA/NFPA credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in senior construction Health & Safety management.
• Experience in data center construction/operations preferred.
• OSHA 10 & OSHA 30 certifications required.
• NFPA 70E training required.
• RAMS and safety plan reviews.
• Liaison with Lease Provider and General Contractor.

Responsibilities

• Educate and identify High-Risk Activities (HRA) to Lease Provider and contractors.
• Monitor KPIs and safety performance indicators.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
• Exercise stop-work authority when life-threatening conditions are observed.
• Participate in safety meetings, reviews, and incident investigations.
• Report safety status to site representative and EHS staff.
• Maintain presence on-site and promote safety initiatives.
