Job summary

TrueBuild Partners is seeking a Project Engineer in Wisconsin to provide daily onsite support to the Superintendent and Project Manager. This role serves as a key on-site contact for the project team, subcontractors, and Owner's Representative.

The ideal candidate is early in their construction career and seeks growth into a Project Manager path, with a degree in Construction Management or a related field and experience with general contractor projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with a general contractor on commercial or related projects.
Ability to read drawings and interpret codes; familiarity with scheduling tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Support the Superintendent and Project Manager with daily onsite operations and act as a point of contact for subcontractors and the Owner's team.
Develop and maintain project schedules, site logistics plans, and short-term look-ahead schedules; track milestones and critical path.
Maintain accurate as-built documents and review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation for accuracy.
Monitor subcontractor progress, lead site walk-throughs, and assist in resolving disputes with Owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Assist with cost tracking and change order estimates, and help enforce the project's safety and site cleanliness standards.
