Job summary

TrueBuild Partners is seeking a Project Engineer in Wisconsin to provide daily onsite support to the Superintendent and Project Manager. This role serves as a key on-site contact for the project team, subcontractors, and Owner's Representative.

The ideal candidate is early in their construction career and seeks growth into a Project Manager path, with a degree in Construction Management or a related field and experience with general contractor projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with a general contractor on commercial or related projects.
• Ability to read drawings and interpret codes; familiarity with scheduling tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent and Project Manager with daily onsite operations and act as a point of contact for subcontractors and the Owner's team.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, site logistics plans, and short-term look-ahead schedules; track milestones and critical path.
• Maintain accurate as-built documents and review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation for accuracy.
• Monitor subcontractor progress, lead site walk-throughs, and assist in resolving disputes with Owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Assist with cost tracking and change order estimates, and help enforce the project's safety and site cleanliness standards.

A Wisconsin-based general contractor is hiring a Project Engineer to provide day-to-day onsite support to the Superintendent and Project Manager. This role serves as a key onsite point of contact for the project team, subcontractors, and Owner/Owner's Representative, and is a strong fit for someone early in their construction career looking to grow into a Project Manager path.

• Ability to read drawings and interpret codes; experience with Bluebeam, Procore, and/or BIM a plus
• Ability to travel to project sites; valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
