Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. invites graduates to join the HITT Futures Program as a commercial construction project engineer. This on-site, 12-month development track offers mentorship, tailored topics, and a clear path to promotion to an assistant project manager or superintendent.

You will shadow seasoned leaders, gain hands-on experience, and develop professional skills while contributing to real projects with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; military experience or degree preferred.
• Accredited associate or bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or business is strongly preferred.
• Previous on-site construction experience is preferred; passion for construction industry and on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Commit to being fully onsite for the 12-month Futures Program training.
• Shadow and learn day-to-day project operations with a dedicated sponsor.
• Complete basic take-offs, submittals, logs, and coordination tasks as directed.
• Assist in budgeting, scheduling updates, and client management activities.
• Support safety programs by leading toolbox talks and safety reports.
• Prepare for promotion to assistant superintendent or assistant project manager after the program.
