Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Irving, TX seeks a Superintendent II to plan, manage and execute multi-faceted construction projects. You will oversee material and equipment, support people management and ensure timely, profitable project completion in support of JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

Responsibilities include leading safety culture, managing subcontractors, coordinating site operations, developing work plans, tracking schedule and budget, and ensuring QA/QC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years construction experience.
• 3+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience with Lean principles (Preferred).
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.
• Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Climbing, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling.
• Occasional activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and creates an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs such as Safety, Quality, EEO.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages the project site care, custody and control.
• Leads daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
• Attends and participates in progress and/or project OAC meetings.
• Creates and manages the project schedule with the Project Manager.
• Monitors budget and costs using project cost reports.
• Ensures quality compliance through specs, QA/QC, and logs.
