Job summary

Jobot is seeking a construction professional in the Chicago area to join a fully integrated real estate developer and general contractor. You will coordinate with subcontractors, read plans, and help manage field operations on multifamily and commercial projects.

Candidates should have 2+ years of construction experience and a Bachelor’s degree. This onsite role offers growth toward a Superintendent position and a strong focus on safety, quality, and collaboration across internal teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial, multifamily, residential, or other relevant construction environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Understanding of commercial construction processes, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.
• Ability to assist with the coordination and oversight of subcontractors, vendors, and onsite activities.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Ability to assist with quality control and ensure work is being completed in accordance with plans and standards.
• Familiarity with construction safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe jobsite.
• Ability to track project progress and communicate field conditions, schedule concerns, material needs, and potential issues to the project team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and other construction documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management/project management software.
• Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite and travel to project locations as required.
