Job summary

Brown and Caldwell, Inc. is seeking an Onsite Construction Manager or Engineer with a proven track record to oversee subcontractors and provide Owner’s Advisor services across diverse project sites in the United States.

Expect assignments on IPD/Design-Build initiatives for industrial water/wastewater, remediation, and process/mechanical work. The role requires frequent travel, deployment to sites for 1–2 weeks to months, with rotation home about every two weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in construction management.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with IPD/Design-Build projects preferred.
• Ability to travel and deploy to project sites for 1–2 weeks to several months.
• Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site operations and implement safety and quality programs.
• Develop and manage project schedules and track progress.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to meet plans.
• Review pay applications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Monitor risk, budgets, and cost management and report to stakeholders.
• Lead field teams, mentor staff, and coordinate with design team liaison.
• Ensure compliance with plans, specs, and regulatory requirements.
• Support project closeout with punch lists and documentation.
• Provide training and assist with project management tasks between sites.
• Assist business development and marketing as needed.
