Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator for commercial and industrial projects in the Baltimore area. The role focuses on managing the estimating process from bid evaluation through award, including takeoffs, pricing, risk analysis, and robust handoffs to project teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Accubid or similar estimating software.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of construction estimating experience.
• Commercial or industrial construction experience required.
• Electrical estimating experience preferred but not required.
• Experience using estimating software such as Accubid or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete project estimates from conceptual budgeting through final bid submission.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Utilize estimating software and bid platforms.
• Identify project risks and pricing opportunities.
• Work closely with operations, project management, and field teams.
• Prepare bid proposals and tender documentation.
• Maintain bid tracking logs and reporting.
• Conduct post-bid analysis and supplier comparisons.
• Facilitate detailed handoffs to project management teams after award.
