Job summary

Construction Procurement Solutions, LLC is seeking an Estimator to prepare project estimates across hard-bid, design-build and conceptual methods. You will read contract docs, perform quantity take-offs, price information, and solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers while assisting the team with bid proposals and schedules.

Ideal candidates have a civil engineering or construction management background and at least 2 years of estimating experience on commercial/industrial projects,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 2 years of estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction, with competence in hard-bid, design-build and conceptual estimating.
• Relevant experience is highly preferred.
• Project size ideally $20M or greater.
• Local or open to relocation to either area.

Responsibilities

• Prepares estimates for potential projects using hard-bid, design-build and conceptual estimating.
• Reads and understands contract documents (plans, specifications & addenda).
• Performs quantity take-offs, organizes and prices information.
• Solicits bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Communicates with subs and suppliers to clarify pricing information.
• Prepares estimate formats in areas such as general conditions, general bidding, quantity takeoffs and bid analysis.
• Assists with the preparation of bid proposal for submittal.
• Prepares outline schedules for proposed projects.
• Assists staff with various special projects related to estimating.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
