Job summary

The Nearview Group is seeking an experienced Estimator in Oklahoma City to develop accurate cost projections for commercial and industrial projects. You will evaluate plans, specs, and bid documents and collaborate with operations, project management, and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids.

You will also assist with budgeting, feasibility studies, and historical cost data while supporting a smooth transition from estimating to operations.

This position works closely with operations, project management, subcontractors, and clients to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects
• Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Collaborate with operations teams to develop construction approaches and execution strategies
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or construction-related environments
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and project delivery processes
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
• Proficiency with estimating software, takeoff tools, and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple pursuits and meet tight deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
