Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Estimator for our DC office with experience in general commercial construction or large industrial projects. The candidate will estimate projects valued from $5M to $50M, in both new construction and renovations, and work with Pre-Construction to ensure complete scope coverage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Experience estimating projects valued from $5M-$50M in multiple divisions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Self-starter with proactive motivation.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers; review sub agreements and markups.
• Collaborate with Pre-Construction staff to ensure complete scope coverage.

Responsibilities

• Estimate projects across divisions for commercial/industrial construction.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers and review subcontractor agreements and markups.
• Work with Pre-Construction staff to identify issues and ensure scope coverage.
• Provide leadership and growth opportunities within the team.
• Assist in developing bid strategies and proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers during bidding and execution phases.
